Heróis da Fruta: Candy Land
A side-scrolling platformer built for APCOI's national "Heróis da Fruta" healthy-eating programme. You run through a candy world throwing bananas at the sweets, and when you lose, the game tells you to eat more fruit.

Virus Defender
A cybersecurity game dressed as a desktop. Viruses crawl across simulated Windows XP, Vista and 7 machines while ransomware padlocks slam over the screen. Catch them before the blue screen wins. Written four years before I did the job for real.

Crazy Forest
The most ambitious of the three, and the only one whose source survived in full. A mouse-aimed run-and-gun platformer with real movement feel: acceleration, friction, gravity and squash-and-stretch on every jump and landing. Play alone or with a second player on the same keyboard.

One of several Discord bots I have built, and the largest. It runs a whole fictional company on a roleplay server: staff clock in and out with automatic role swaps, invoices get filed, tickets open and close with HTML transcripts, disciplinary warnings track against each employee, and the company treasury keeps a full statement. Plus an internal radio, because someone asked.
InMoov, 3D-printed humanoid robot
A build of InMoov, the open-source life-size humanoid you print in parts and assemble yourself. Every finger is a servo on an Arduino pin, driven by MyRobotLab Python service scripts, and it answers to spoken commands. There is a virtual mode for testing before you risk the real servos, which saved the hardware more than once.

A text-and-voice assistant with a cloud LLM brain and an expandable skill system: it controls Spotify, reads mail and calendar, sets timers, takes and describes screenshots, runs allowlisted dev commands and more. The part I care about most is the safety model — shutting the machine down, restarting or deleting never fires on one command. It arms the action and waits for an explicit "yes", enforced in code, not just asked for in the prompt. There is a keyword fallback so it still works with no API key, and an Iron Man-style HUD dashboard.
Enforced in code, not just the prompt. Destructive skills don't act — they arm a pending action and return a question. It only runs when confirm is later called with an explicit yes; there is no other path to it.

I studied Management and Programming of Computer Systems at Escola Secundária de Gago Coutinho and finished at 16.8. That course covered both ends, writing the software and building the machine it runs on, and I have kept working at both ends since.
Today I'm a System Administrator at Feedzai, a company whose product is fraud and financial crime prevention for banks. My work is endpoints, identity and access, and automating the setup nobody wants to do by hand, inside a company where getting security wrong is the whole business. Before that, two years inside the Armed Forces doing network administration and cybersecurity operations, the kind of environment where "who has access to what" is not a paperwork question.
The other half is the part I do because I want to: 2D games, Discord bots, a 3D-printed humanoid. Same instinct, smaller stakes, more fun.
I am not trying to pick one of the two. Programming and cybersecurity are the same skill seen from opposite ends: one builds the system, the other assumes someone will attack it. Knowing how a thing is written is what tells you where it will give way, and having defended real infrastructure is what stops me writing careless code. The TeSP starting in September is deliberately broad for that reason.
